Greetings,
If you follow my social media, then you are likely already aware. I’ve known for a few weeks, but I’ve been so busy I didn’t make time to write about it. Considering the announcement, I think it’s going to be important that I make regular contributions to this blog, so let’s start here.
It’s been almost exactly two years since I published my post, “Exciting News“. Now, I get to share that I’ve been admitted into doctoral studies in information at the University of Michigan School of Information. It’s my dream coming true. My primary advisor is Ron Eglash, the cybernetics mathematician and head of the Generative Justice lab. Signing on to co-advise is Lionel Robert, the Director of the Michigan Autonomous Vehicle Research Intergroup Collaboration, or MAVRIC.
I’m just over a month away from my thesis defense. I’m currently working full-time at NASA as the UI Architect and Human Factors Research intern for the ExMC MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineering) team.
In any event, I just wanted to write a quick update. My motive actually being to provide myself a distraction from finishing up my thesis to send for review. I anticipate I’ll be writing up another post soon.
See you then,
Matt
